Decorative ceramic jar with a layered floral motif. The colour palette ranges from soft tones of almond and lilac to more saturated tones in a variety of matte and glossy glazes.

Sanam Emami builds up the surface of her own ceramics in much the same way a painter builds up an image on a canvas; layering shapes, patterns, colours. By layering matt and glossy glazes and geometric shapes, applied using hand-painted slip transfers and stencils, Sanam creates a surface of floral motifs that are more or less pronounced between voluminous brush strokes of mixtures of clay.
