Linda Sikora’s porcelain jars are salt fired, an ancient Northern European firing process technique, where salt is added to the kiln, resulting in a glossy and translucent bare surface of the clay. She has recently made a conscious move towards exploring the round form - a deceptively difficult shape to form, and pushing it to the edge of its capacity, resulting in particularly plump, rounded teapots that are gentle to hold.
