The fabric is hand-spun and hand-woven into cloth in India by remote artisans - small farmers, spinners, ginners and weavers. Guided by Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy of “Swaraj,” or self-government, they work collectively towards sustaining rural livelihoods and preserving indigenous raw materials and craft traditions.
