Made in Pink-White Vibration, a Japanese warp ikat, and XX, a cotton quality handspun and -woven by artisans in India. 

The repeated quilt block pattern is inspired by early 20th-century Amish geometric quilts— now recognized as America’s first major abstract art. The Amish quilting tradition, rooted in principles of self-sufficiency, reflects a broader global history of quiltmaking that spans centuries and cultures. With the acceleration of industrialization in the West, quilts became emblematic of a pre-industrial past of tradition and folkways, and quilt-making became imbued with nostalgia.
